We're adding a new capability to upload and work with different types of documents inside Artifact. This capability builds on our existing Advanced Data Analysis to improve performance on text-rich documents including PDFs, Microsoft Word documents, and presentations.

How does the new file uploads capability work?

The file uploads capability was created to support synthesis, transformation, and extraction tasks. You can upload spreadsheets, analyze documents, compare files, and extract specific information with ease.

What types of files are supported?

All common file extensions for text files, spreadsheets, presentations, and documents are supported. This includes PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, CSV files, and more.

    File upload size restrictions

All files uploaded to Artifact have a hard limit of 512MB per file. Text and document files are capped at 2M tokens per file, while CSV files and spreadsheets cannot exceed approximately 50MB. Images have a 20MB limit per file.

Users can upload up to 80 files every 3 hours. Free users are limited to 3 file uploads per day, with individual usage caps of 10GB per user and 100GB per organization.
